Brought to you by sweaty fingers

That's right. I'm so sweaty at the moment my fingers are dripping a little on the keyboard.

How's that for sexy-sexy?

I just got back from my first straight 5km run in weeks. It was outside. I think that makes all the difference. Stuff to look at, things to think about. No time to walk.

Life has been running at a fairly frantic pace at the moment. I'm pretty much doing three jobs: my day job as breaky producer starting at either 4.30am or 6am, my CanberrArts podcast and the pulling together of Now Hear This.

In the past couple of weeks I haven't done a lot of exercise outside my commuting.

The thing is: I need to run like I ran this afternoon. Freestyling with my Garmin, just running in and out of streets and parks in my suburb and the next.

It really is an awesome time of the day where no one is asking you to do anything, you're not forgetting anything, you're not tired, you're just lost in your tunes and the rhythm of your feet.

Gotta get back my love for it properly.

  4. That's good Mel. It's coming up to the best time of year for outside running too. Need to get into the habit so it's ingrained for those -8C days of winter ;)
